In the last couple of years, Tomás has been a Board Director and Strategic Advisor of well-known and high-growth companies, and also founded AndesML, which is a technology platform that enables retailers to quickly launch and monetize their own sponsored products ad network. Previously, Tomás spent 16 years at Falabella, and his last role, Tomás led the Digital agenda for the Falabella Group.

Tomás received a degree in engineering and a master’s of science in operations from the University of Chile. Additionally, he earned his MBA from The Wharton School with major in finance.
Tomás is happily married, and father of three beautiful kids, Clara (11), Elisa (9) and José Tomás (7). As a family they love to do outdoor sports, such as Mountain Biking and Skiing.

CIO EMEA and Member of Global Strategy Office at Netskope, Ilona Simpson has joined the leading provider of enterprise security from Adidas where was VP, CIO & Transformation Office. Previously, she held regional, divisional, and global CIO roles at Porsche, DHL Supply Chain and Aston Martin, and led a major digital transformation initiative at innogy (acquired by EON in 2020).

Ilona is passionate about transforming the way corporate Boards and CXOs view and engage with cybersecurity topics, helping them build digital resilience leveraging state of the art technology.

Active in a number of technology and industry advisory boards, she holds an MBA from IESE Business School, and is a guest lecturer on cybersecurity, technology and leadership topics. Keen advocate of technology-driven innovation, she is a start-up investor and mentor. And last not least an inspired albeit not very talented sailor and an eager Peloton rider.

As Head of Content for Insider Intelligence, the recently named parent company of eMarketer and Business Insider Intelligence, Zia manages a team of 100 international researchers, analysts, forecasters, and editors focused on digital transformation. In her role, she oversees the company’s renowned research in retail ecommerce, advertising, marketing and media, financial services and digital health.

Prior to joining Insider Intelligence in August 2020, Zia was Chief Global Content Officer at Shoptalk, a large-scale event focused on digital innovation in retail which became the fastest-growing retail conference ever. She also co-founded Groceryshop, an annual conference focused on innovation and technology within the field of grocery and CPG. Zia and the other executives sold the combined business to Hyve Group plc for $145 million at the end of 2019.

Zia also spent 7 years as a VP and Research Director at Forrester Research where she focused on international digital expansion strategies. She therefore shares valuable knowledge with our participants and gives exceptional advice based on her own experiences.

WARREN BERGER developed his inquiry skills as a journalist for The New York Times but first declared himself a “questionologist” with the publication of his best-selling book, A MORE BEAUTIFUL QUESTION (Bloomsbury 2014). The book shows that questioning has been the starting point of everything from the cell phone, to Netflix, to the International Red Cross. In the book, Berger introduces an original framework (the “Why/What If/How” cycle of inquiry) that can be applied to all kinds of challenges and problems. A More Beautiful Question has been embraced by the NASA space program, the U.S. Army, the National Science Foundation, and companies such as Starbucks, Chanel, Pfizer, Oracle, Microsoft, Disney, and Pepsi, as well as by major universities around the country.

Mr. Berger has conducted questioning workshops at NASA and the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and he designed and hosted a filmed employee-training program on questioning for PepsiCo. He also regularly visits elementary and high schools, urging teachers to try to encourage more student questioning and critical thinking in the classroom.In the fall of 2018, Berger released a follow-up book on questioning, THE BOOK OF BEAUTIFUL QUESTIONS: ThePowerful Questions That Will Help You Decide, Create, Connect, and Lead. In 2020, he published BEAUTIFUL QUESTIONS INTHE CLASSROOM, which offers strategies and exercises that can help teachers to inspire more curiosity and inquiry among their students.

Overall, Berger has authored or co-authored 10 books (including the acclaimed GLIMMER, one of the first books on “design thinking”). He has appeared on NPR’s All Things Considered, CNN, and NBC’s Today Show, and he contributes regularly to Harvard Business Review, Fast Company, and Psychology Today, where he writes the “Questionologist” column.

Mariano Gomide de Faria has over 20 years of experience in digital commerce. He founded the global commerce technology company VTEX in 2000 with his college friend, Geraldo Thomaz. His sought out lectures and presentations around the world include IRX (UK), Shoptalk, eShow (Barcelona), among others. He was one of the few private-sector speakers in the UN eCommerce week conference and is an advisor at EICOM Institute.

Software engineer with 20 years of experience in the digital commerce ecosystem. Specialist in end-to-end solutions development, he founded two technology development companies for ecommerce, the last one, Primordia, sold to VTEX in 2014. As an executive focused on transforming his customers with technology products, in 2021 he assumed the position of Chief Customer Officer at VTEX and then moved to London to develop the Customer Experience Enablement area, playing a key role in the company's IPO in New York Stock Exchange (NYSE:VTEX). Passionate about education and people development through practical challenges, he takes over as CEO of the EICOM Institute in 2021 with the aim of accelerating the digital transformation of companies through the development of executives, researchers, professors and students in the field of digital commerce
